Where in Kowloon Tong? Are there any other activities?

Ah~ I wish I didn't work Friday nights, the only nights I work as well :(
Actually the venue is the City U Canteen. For the activities, they are trying to sort things out.

Extract from the group announcement:

After Meetup and other Activities
Well, we are off to a good start. Some ideas include: Eating (BBQ, hotpot, buffet), Drinking (bar, karaoke, dancing), Indoors (movies, ice skating, bowling), Outdoors (boat party, beach party, horse riding, team sport games, bungee jumping). Maybe the "flying kites" idea was a joke, but I like it! My kite will go highest; I challenge you!! hah!

HK Entertainment Group
So, now that we have some fun ideas, we have to make them happen!! For those of you that would like to help organize, come on over and join the HK Entertainment Meetup. I'm finally getting it going... first meetup is set for this Sunday, 26-July at 2pm. Full details are on the site: www.meetup.com/hkentertainment

Canto-English is special to me and many of us. So, I want to stay true to the original idea: language and communications. The HK Entertainment Group is focused on events and hopes to add diverse and exciting experiences for our members.

2pm - should be able to. My Church in Kowloon Tong finishes lunch maybe just before then, some of us are looking for something to do around this time on Sundays. Many of us are HK people, Cantonese / English, maybe a little confused which one to speak sometimes *ha ha*. Of course my Cantonese is the worst because I'm a gwailo.
Announcing a new Meetup for Cantonese-English Language Exchange!

What: Canto-English Meetup @ HUNG HOM

When: August 7, 2009 7:30 PM

Where:
The Metropolis Mall
Metropolis Drive Hung Hom
Hong Kong

Hey guys,

Jimmy and I have been a bit concerned about the earlier closing time of the City Uni. Canteen (i.e. 21:00 as opposed to 21:30) which is now about an hour shorter than our initial meetups. Which is a shame since we now have all these games and things to keep us busy :-P

So, we'd like to try a new place which is very close to Hung Hom Station, and so is still (hopefully) convenient for most people. Hung Hom station is right before the Cross harbour tunnel, opposite Polytechnic Univ., so is very well-serviced by buses and of course the MTR/KCR.

It's the same kind of environment (i.e. a food court) and also serves students, but you can only get discounts if you have a student card. The place only closes at about 11pm and is a public place, so we shouldn't have any problems with permission/obligation to purchase anything. The food court is in the "Metropolis Mall", which is next to the Hung Hom station and Coliseum (used for concerts).

So let's meet at Hung Hom station (exit C) in front of the "Aji Ichiban" sweetshop, at 19:15 and then leave for the food court at 19:30.

As usual, bring your enthusiasm and maybe a notepad :-P
See U soon
