Language Partners, long lasting friends
This thread aims at the following.
1. Share our personal stories of long lasting friendship made through finding a language exchange partner
2. Encourage people to find a language partner
When I first came to Hong Kong, a guy who was helping me settle into Hong Kong introduced me to one of his friends in Shenzhen. His friend in Shenzhen was one of his closest friends, they always catch up and he is also one of my well trusted and good friends now. This all started because the English living in Hong Kong speaker found the Mandarin speaker in Shenzhen and became friends. Many of the friends I've met have had some idea of 'improving language ability' attached to it, getting changes to speak different languages each day I've made many long lasting friendships, and met my wife.
