"All I can say is that it's hard to feel homesick in Hong Kong! Especially when you have your significant one here ;-)   I generally do get a bit homesick if I haven't been home for over a year... "

"Yes reverse culture shock. I experience that quite a lot too. When I return home, it seems to be that everybody has moved on and I am sort of left behind. I guess it just needs a bit of time (like you said) and effort to overcome that. Good thing…"

"I can relate. My big thing was what I call 'reverse culture shock' where I struggled to fit back in when visiting home again. It's the scary one because you expect culture shock, but not reverse culture shock. That said, with time can…"

Back in April, nice. Where do you usually stay when visiting HK? I know a few HKers over in London, although I guess you're more interested in exploring the local sights and sounds of the place. I meet so many who have been studying or born in England, so many in my area :P almost all BBC's.

Hi Becki. Thanks for the message. That would be sweet to meet you at some of the events. Do you live around the Fanling / Sheung Shui area? We just had a dinner last night, was fun. One girl made a cake 'cos she felt like it, so we got to try it out. Next week is karaoke with cake, champaign and some free buns ('cos two people are having a birthday).
