This is a poem unfolding the beauty of an Asian woman that I found in a private exhibition show last summer. As I felt an urge to express the feeling of my heart, I penned such a poem with a burning enthusiasm.
Charm
Cloaked in a long crimson chiffon dress
She stands on a raised oolong wooden floor
Her contemplating dark plum eyes look glittering
Holding an ancient Chinese wine cup
She hums a tune to herself
Her svelte figure speaks of a distant dream
The shine of her sleek ebony hair radiates an elegant fragrance
Taking a fleeting glimpse of the courtyard
She pens a few verses for the landscaped garden
Her delicate hands move like the grace of a pair of red-crowned cranes dancing on a snowy ground
The pace of her humble steps symbolises a scholarly gentlewoman
Such is the hidden treasure of her pulchritude
That is beyond compare
