Hong Kong Stuff

I lived in HK only a short while, yet it left me some of the best memories in my life. A year ago I moved across the border, and I slowly begin to be more and more tired of this city. I want out... Should I move back to HK? Or should I leave China at all... That is the question...

In fact, I am planning to move out of Shenzhen to HK or Singapore. There is no growth prospects in Shenzhen unless you have your own business.

For me, there is nothing I can think of that would hold me in Shenzhen. Well, maybe manicure places, but that is by far not the most important thing and once a month I could come to SZ for that.

My problem is quite straightforward: I need to get a job there, preferably with a salary that would allow me to feel more or less comfortable. The main issue however is ID sponsorship...That's the main stumbling block on my way :-P
I could leave tomorrow if there was a chance.

Weel, Genius, I lived there for almost 4 months and go there pretty much often. Honestly, every day here makes me wanna move back more and more... On the SZ's plus side, there are only two things: my gf is here, and I can smoke everywhere :-)

There are always other factors to consider other than pay cheque. Put all those on a sheet and put weight on it. Evaluate each factor one by one, You may arrive a sensible conclusion.

Good point on your side as well, Freakboy. Remeber, though, that they salaries are also higher. For the job I am dong here, over there I'd be paid three times as much...

Get the hell out of Dodge man this place will kill ya. I am on my down stroke as well. Just trying to finish what I started and then I am bailing and taking my family back to the mother land. Chris is right though you do need to get into some sort of high income range to stay here. Need more money to pay for better schools so your kids can get a good education. Can't do that teaching English man.

To me it works the opposite way. First, I decide what I want to do, and then I figure out how to get money to do it. Where to live is the main problem, HOW to make a living - I will find out after I will have decided to move.
